Somehow I ended up with a big bottle of Smirnoff Whipped Cream Vodka. I don’t know how it happened. These things just seem to magically jump into my shopping cart as I’m roaming the aisles of the grocery store. It’s really weird. Does anyone else have this problem? Maybe it’s just me….

So in an effort to use up this gigantic bottle of booze, I’ve been creating some really tasty milkshakes with this stuff. The first is a Boozy Strawberry Shortcake Milkshake. That one was a no-brainer. Whipped cream is a huge component of strawberry shortcake, so I knew blending up some fresh strawberries, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream flavored vodka would be a win.

But the second milkshake is what I’m really swooning over right now. It’s a Boozy Fluffernutter Milkshake. And oh man, words cannot even describe how delicious it is. It tastes remarkably similar to a real Fluffernutter – well expect for the alcohol part. I probably would have been a much more relaxed and well-adjusted child if my mom had slipped some alcohol in my sandwiches.

Have you had a Fluffernutter before? I never realized until I moved out West that they are a New England thing, bordering on cult status. I ate an insane number of Fluffernutters when I was younger. In fact, I think it was the only food I ate for about 10 years. I’m not exaggerating about this. I was a pain in the a** when I was a kid and I barely ate anything. It’s a miracle I managed to grow to 5 ft 11 inches tall. Especially considering the questionable nutritional value of marshmallow crème and white bread.

Try out one (or both!) of these milkshakes today. They are guaranteed to put you in a good mood!

  • For the Boozy Strawberry Shortcake Milkshake
  • 1/4 cup whipped cream flavored vodka
  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 4 vanilla wafer or shortbread cookies (optional)

  • For the Boozy Fluffernutter Milkshake
  • 1/4 cup whipped cream flavored vodka
  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup marshmallow crème
  • 2 tablespoons milk

  1. It’s easy – just blend! To make one of the above milkshakes, just add the ingredients to your blender and blend on high until well combined and smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately!
  2. I like to garnish the Boozy Strawberry Shortcake Milkshakes with fresh strawberries. For the Boozy Fluffernutter Milkshake, you can top it off with a dollop of marshmallow crème or some mini-marshmallows.
