You guys. I did something naughty (p.s. don’t you just love that word?). I put a piece of pie in the blender with ice cream and booze.
This achievement (if you can call pushing the button on your blender an achievement) is life altering. Which is why I just had to share it with you today. This recipe was earmarked for after Thanksgiving as a “what to do with your leftover pie” blog post. But I jumped the gun. Stuff like this shouldn’t be kept a secret.

The idea for this comes from my blogging friend Laura who put a piece of pumpkin pie in her blender last year. Mind blown. Let’s all take a moment to thank Laura for bringing this brilliant idea to us humans. I assumed this trick would work with any old pie and lucky for us, it totally does. Life is good sometimes.
I used a slice of my Chocolate Lovers Pecan Pie for this milkshake. But whatever pecan pie you happen to have in your refrigerator will be great here. Heck, you might want to make a fresh pie just so you can pulverize it into a zillion pieces for this milkshake. It’s that good.
